Two New Microscopes To Help Advance MBL Science | Falmouth Enterprise

The scientific, the academic and the curious-minded gathered around two brand-new microscopes, large enough to fill half a room at the Marine Biological Laboratory on June 27. They crowded closer to representatives from the companies that built them to learn what $4.3 million in grant funding can buy and how the new technology will advance work done by the MBL’s Central Microscopy Facility.

Just a few minutes earlier, they had each been seated in MBL’s Clapp Auditorium. Representatives from Leica Biosystems and Thermo Fisher Scientific, the companies that each built one of the new microscopes, joined MBL representatives to explain how the microscopes work. Read the full story...
