The MBL flag is being lowered today for Henry W. Klimm, Jr., longtime MBL squid collector who passed away August 10, at his home. The MBL is not aware of memorial plans at this time.

In 2001 the MBL renamed the dock to which he tied his fishing boat, the Loligo, as the Henry W. Klimm, Jr. Pier. The announcement came at an August 23, 2001 ceremony honoring Klimm's 86th birthday.
