The Tokyo String Quartet has captivated audiences and critics alike since it was founded 40 years ago. Regarded as one of today’s supreme chamber ensembles, the Tokyo String Quartet performs over a hundred concerts worldwide each season and has a devoted following.
Pianist Haochen Zhang is, at twenty, already a veteran of the concert stage, as well as a perennial prizewinner. A 2009 winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Zhang has embarked on a worldwide tour and will release a CD on the Harmonia Mundi USA label. Zhang is a student at the world-renowned Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
