The MBL Associates program provides a community connection to the MBL. We spread the word about the MBL’s exciting research and cutting-edge educational courses, primarily through creating and hosting local educational and cultural programs for all age groups. We sponsor gifted students and promising young investigators through our endowments and encourage volunteers to assist with a variety of MBL projects.

The Associates also run the MBL Gift Shop at the Pierce Visitors Center on Water Street in Woods Hole. All net proceeds from the gift shop help fund research awards for young summer scientists.
